About The Future Kitchen Consortium
The kitchen is a sacred place. It's the most central space in our homes, where we find nourishment, connect with family and friends, and celebrate important milestones.
More than any space in our home, the kitchen remains remarkably consistent. The way we store, cook, and consume our food is largely the same as it was half a century ago. Because of this, consumers are often resistant to new ways of doing things.
Despite this, we believe that there's room for innovation in the kitchen. New approaches, technologies, and products that respect tradition and serve consumer needs and wants in the kitchen could bring exciting changes over the next decade.
The Future Kitchen Consortium aims to catalyze an open and forward-leaning consumer kitchen innovation ecosystem that will result in high-value use cases that power more personalized, nutritious, and delicious meal journeys for consumers.
The Future Kitchen Consortium was conceived by Michael Wolf, who created the Smart Kitchen Summit and The Spoon, and Kai Schaeffner, who led the creation of the Thermomix Cookidoo digital recipe platform and was CEO of Thermomix North America.
